Gloucester Golf Club - Robinswood Hill, Gloucestershire
The 18 hole, par 72 championship course has been designed to obtain the greatest possible benefit from the natural form of the hillside - the varying undulations as the hill falls from a height of 600 feet to 200 feet at the base of the course: the streams and small ponds which time has worn into the landscape plus many tree and wooded areas which have been left as nature planted and nurtured and which gives the course a natural beauty - and its golfders some natural hazards! The first 11 holes will have you negotiating the lower slopes with streams running parallel and across the fairways. Enjoy the 12th which is a challenging uphill par 3 before entering the scenic holes which overlook Gloucester and the beautiful surrounding countryside; these incorporate some interesting and tricky holes - especially the downhill 18th where many golfers have tried to drive the green, with disastrous consequences! Herefordshire Golf Club - Wormsley, Hereford
Set amongst unsurpassed, unspoilt rural spledour. Truely this is the hidden gem of golf in the Midlands. In 1896 The Herefordshire Golf Club began its existence on the Broomy Hill Course in Hereford. It remained there until 1911 when a move was made to the Holmer site. In 1932 the final move was made to the beautiful Ravens Causeway, part of the Foxley estate owned by the Davenport Family.  In 1968 the Club purchased the course from the estate and now proudly owns approximately 130 acres of magnificent countryside which provides the backcloth to a  golf course whose charm led a Golf publication to say, "If you can't afford  to play Gleneagles, do the next best thing and visit The Herefordshire". The Club provides comfortable changing accommodation and an excellent Clubhouse in which to wine and dine.  Visitors are welcome and are assured of a friendly reception. For more details click here

This prestigious Par 70 course measures 6189 yards from the competition tees is proud to boast championship status as the host to the West Region Professional Golfers Association Championship  and West of England Championship. Set in 140 acres of undulating parkland, the course has many hazards that would not be found on similar aged courses. Each of the 18 holes is individually designed to give variety and offer a stern but fair test of golf. The green are superb, build to USGA specifications, they are well protected but the surface is true and good putting is well rewarded. The par 5 fifth hole measuring 531 yards requires two long and accurate shots to set up a birdie opportunity. Combine the three lakes and bunkers to manoeuvre the ball over and around, with superb views of the Malvern Hills and you have one of the finest golf holes in Gloucestershire. Strategic bunkering and fairway sculpturing around dog-legs set up a fine back nine, culminating in the magnificent 18th hole. Measuring 200 yards over water with the Hotel as a backdrop, it's a finishing hole of top quality. In full, the course offers a challenge to the novice and experienced golfer. Thus ensure that all players leave with a pleasant memory of a day well above par. For more details click here.
